Chaos Rider – Somchai Ckakan

Somchai's Story: 

Hailing from one of the poorest Jupiterian moons, Somchai wanted to take his family out of poverty. Seeking any opportunity he could find, Somchai eventually heard of Sahara 8 through a friend. Putting himself and his family down for colonist positions there, Somchai was later offered a position by Benethir for not just himself, but his family also. His family ecstatic, Somchai and them signed the contracts, and left for Sahara as soon as possible.

On Sahara, Somchai and his family enjoyed good lives for over two decades; but when Benethir left, and after The Pack took control of Sahara following the Water War, things changed. Somchai managed to keep his family safe in the capital city ‘Mahai’ for a time, but as The Pack brought war, famine and poverty with them wherever they went, his family’s safety became exceedingly difficult to maintain.

Somchai and his family tried everything they could to survive under the Pack’s rule, but each option brought with them their own risks. One option was prostitution, which Somchai’s family ultimately saw as the lesser evil. While Somchai ensured their ‘safety’, his wife and sisters provided sex to whomever in exchange for food and water.

Somchai profusely apologised to his family time and time again for bringing them to Sahara, but his family never held it against him. The guilt becoming unbearable, however, their understanding did little to ease Somchai’s mind. 

 Desperate to help his family, Somchai felt that the only thing that could save his family now was winning the Chaos Races. Although his family protested, the risk was worthwhile to Somchai, as life like this was not worth living.

Playstyle:

Somchai aims to be an all-rounder, having answers to every situation, be them at short, medium or long-range.
