Chaos Rider – Alina Kowalczyk

Role – Gunner

Alina's Story:

Before Benethir left, Alina maintained communications between every worksite and station across Sahara, ensuring their lively interactions and exchanges could continue. Following Benethir’s exodus and the impairment of Sahara’s communication equipment, however, Alina was the first to witness Sahara’s silence.

Sahara adapted for a time, and Alina did her best to re-establish Sahara’s communications, but when the Pack formed, Sahara’s fate felt sealed. While the Committee floundered to deal with the Pack, it was Uzoma Obi that established the ‘Saharan’ faction and took the fight to the Pack. Inspired by Uzoma, Alina chose to fight how she could.

Local communications re-established, Alina gave the Saharans the ability to coordinate and communicate with one another. Although the Water War would be lost regardless, Alina wouldn’t stop fighting. It was known that The Pack were hunting the remaining Saharans, but Alina was on the cusp of re-establishing communications across Sahara, and so refused to leave her station. Inspired, and aware her efforts would aid the Saharan struggle in the long-run, Alina’s team remained, and swore to defend her to the last.

A Pack assault on Alina’s station was inevitable, but true to their word, Alina’s team stood by, killing several Pack members for every one they took. The battle raged for days, but Alina’s team provided her with the time she needed to launch her satellite. Alina did everything right, she’s certain of it to this day, but a Pack grenade knocked her unconscious that day, just before she could see the satellite ascend.

Restrained to a dark and lonely room afterwards, Alina resisted her captors’ torture, questioning them rebelliously about her satellite whenever she had the strength to do so. They told her that they destroyed it, but Alina could never tell if they were lying or not.

Their torture proving ineffective, the Pack resorted to threatening not just Uzoma’s life, but the lives of her remaining teammates. The first death she endured, but as they killed them one after one in front of her, Alina eventually broke. While she saved a life or two, she gave the Pack what they wanted. Once she had nothing left to give, Alina chose to race, rather than die.

Activation Weapons of choice:

Energy Weapon – The Transformer:

Fire a missile that once embedded into an enemy vehicle electrocutes them, as well as any other enemy vehicles in the vicinity around it for moderate damage.

Missile Launcher – The Grenadier:

Fire grenades that explode on impact and damage all in their explosion radiuses for considerable damage. These grenades also have a ‘Mine’ mode. Once activated grenades will instead act as mines. These mines can be shot into the ground or onto a surface. Once an enemy vehicle is in range of your mines they will explode for considerable damage.

Chemthrower – The Torcher:

Emit a high intensity flame that inflicts substantial damage per second within a short range.

Playstyle:

More than capable of punching above her weight Alina tries to group her opponents together, in order to hit all of them at once.

“I prefer to talk to a crowd rather than anyone individually.”

Hey everyone. Chose to do things with Alina a little bit differently. Would love to hear your thoughts on if you prefer this more emotional/character centric approach to the Chaos Rider's character narrative or not.
